Setting up OzLINK on your Mobile Device

 

Overview

The OzLINK Mobile app needs to know how to connect to your server.  This setup must be completed the first time you run OzLINK on your device.  You need to set up the OzLINK Mobile Server and install the OzLINK Mobile app before completing this setup.
 

Start OzLINK Mobile on your device

Tap Start, then Programs, then OzLINK Mobile

Tap the round windows button in the bottom left corner of the screen, then tap OzLINK Mobile
 

Set up the connection to your server

 
  1. Once OzLINK mobile starts, tap Setup.
  2. Enter the IP address and the port number for your server. Your server IP address and port can be found at the bottom of the OzLINK Mobile Server window on your server.  The default port for OzLINK is 3800.
  3. If you are using dynamic worker assignment then leave the worker set to 0.  If you are manually assigning workers then set the device to the correct worker number.  For more information about workers see:  About WorkersSuggestion: Use dynamic workers unless the connection between your device and the server is excessively slow.
  4. Tap Save to save your setup.
 
The app will return to the main screen, showing the various tasks that you can complete using the device.  If your device does not connect and you receive an error message, see:  Device cannot connect to server.
