Package Services

 

Overview

Click on the Rating tab at the top of OzLINK for UPS, then click the Package Services tab toward the middle of the screen to access the package services options.  Select the services that you would like to use for the package, then click the Rate button to view the rates for that shipment.  You must include at least a destination zip code and a package weight to rate a shipment.  Each package service is detailed below.
 
 

Documents Only

Check this box if your shipment only contains documents.  Generally a document is a written, typed, or printed communication of no commercial value.  See the UPS help for more details.
 

Additional Handling

A shipment from any origin to any destination that requires additional  due to its size or packaging is assessed an Additional Handling charge per package.  See the UPS Help for additional details about which types of packages require additional handling.
 

Saturday Delivery

Deliver the package on a Saturday if it would speed shipment.
 

Delivery Confirmation

Provides confirmation of delivery for any package you designate. Confirmations are sent to you automatically after delivery is completed.
 
Select No Signature Required if your customer does not need to provide a signature upon receipt of your package. The confirmation includes the delivery date and either the name of the receiver or the package disposition.
Select Signature Required if your customer must provide a signature upon receipt of your package. The confirmation includes the delivery date and customer's signature.
Select Adult Signature Required if an adult customer must provide a signature upon receipt of your package. (The adult must be at least 21 years old.) The confirmation includes the delivery date and signature of the adult customer.
 

Declared Value

Enter a value here to insure your package.  You should enter the value of the items in the shipment.
 

C.O.D. Amount

COD (Collect On Delivery) is used to charge the recipient for goods (and possibly shipment costs) at the time of delivery. The carrier is responsible for collecting payment and sending it to the seller.  Enter the amount that you would like to collect from the recipient.
 

Invoice Value

Invoice Value is required for customs documentation and to calculate additional taxes and fees when working with international shipments.  Enter the value of the items being shipped.
 

Import Shipment

If you are shipping from an international location into the US, check the Import Shipment option to display the rates in USD.  Rates will be listed in the currency of the originating country if you leave this option unchecked.
